The Chambers DRIVE project, funded by Bureau of Near Easter Affairs-Assistance Coordination office, is a two-year initiative focusing on assisting the Tunisian Regional Chambers to participate in increasing the competitiveness of their regions while maintaining their developments. The project ultimate objective is to participate in efforts to create employment and to encourage exports to improve SMEs income with the support of Regional Chambers of Commerce that position themselves as Hubs working for regional export and investment promotion.
TAYP’s Local Economic Development (LED) experts will work with Chambers of Commerce to achieve these four objectives:
1) Position Chambers of Commerce as regional hubs helping to stimulate SME development and networking as well as job creation through the promotion of investment in their regions.
2) Improve workflows and support digitization to optimize resources.
3) Support Chambers to strengthen their members’ expertise in international business development, trade show participation and certification.
4) Work with Chambers to mobilize economic actors at the regional level to enhance public private dialogue and to carry out the necessary reforms in the public-private sector.
